Our Story
RASMED Clinic was founded in 2023 with a singular mission: to make board-certified, specialist-quality healthcare accessible to every member of our communities in Valley Stream and Brooklyn. Our founding physicians — Dr. Mansoor Farooki and Dr. Syed Z. Hussaini — brought a combined 70+ years of clinical expertise and a shared conviction that proximity and language should never be barriers to quality care.
Dr. Farooki's 50-year career in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, and Geriatric Medicine, rooted in the tradition of King Edward Medical University, forms the clinical backbone of our practice. Dr. Hussaini's dual board certifications in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine, combined with his residency training at Stony Brook University and Southampton Hospital, give RASMED Clinic a rare breadth of expertise — primary care, preventive medicine, and addiction treatment under one roof.
Our multilingual team — fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, and Hebrew — reflects the communities we serve. We believe that when a patient can communicate freely in their own language, healthcare improves. From a newly arrived immigrant navigating the USCIS medical examination process, to a long-term Brooklyn resident managing a chronic condition, every patient at RASMED receives the same standard of attentive, evidence-based care.
Today, RASMED Clinic operates two full-service locations and continues to expand its network of services. Our hospital affiliations with New York Community Hospital of Brooklyn, NYC Health + Hospitals Queens, and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center ensure seamless coordination when inpatient or specialist care is required. Walk-ins are always welcome. Same-day appointments are available. We believe that accessible healthcare is not a luxury — it is a right.
