Our Commitment to Accessibility
RASMED Clinic is committed to ensuring that our website, patient portal, and physical clinic locations are fully accessible to all individuals, including people with disabilities. We believe that every patient deserves equal access to quality healthcare information and services.
Digital Accessibility
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
We are working to ensure our website conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.
Features of Our Accessible Website
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are fully navigable using a keyboard without requiring a mouse
- Screen Reader Compatibility: Our pages use semantic HTML and ARIA labels to work with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
- Text Alternatives: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text
- Color Contrast: Text and interface elements meet the minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio recommended by WCAG 2.1
- Resizable Text: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- No Seizure-Triggering Content: Our site does not contain flashing content that could trigger photosensitive seizures
- Consistent Navigation: Navigation elements are consistent across pages to aid orientation
- Skip Navigation: A "skip to main content" link is available to bypass repetitive navigation

Language Accessibility
Our clinical staff includes providers and support personnel who speak English, Arabic, Urdu, Spanish, and Punjabi. If you require interpretation services in another language, please inform us when scheduling your appointment and we will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
